Sherborne School and Sherborne Girls asked us to explore ways of articulating the benefits of a joint marketing approach. The two schools are both full-boarding, offering single-sex education, located right next to each other in a small Dorset town, with the opportunity for a multitude of joint activities at every turn. Separate yet together. An initial research phase, undertaken by Robert Fletcher & Partners, had been completed and a narrative created to form the startpoint for the creative.
I think the ‘HE / SHE’ idea is fabulous. It instantly, precisely and with breathtaking economy captures the point. And what is more, it could not be better branded. The design concept is simplicity itself – the idea can often be there staring you in the face! Original reportage style photography combines with key messages and the narrative across a suite of materials. The marketing pack contains joint, boys and girls prospectuses, information booklets and registration forms, and the concept has also been rolled out across both joint and individual comms including adverts and social media.
A comprehensive approach that works equally as well from both joint and individual school perspectives with a strong concept that has genuine ‘mileage’ for future extension.
